Any info on COST of condos/size etc yet??

Any info on COST of condos/size etc yet??

This question was sent in by Laurel.

I think the best way to answer it would be for individual folks who are involved to contribute what their perception is since there is no one right answer and we'll make our decisions by consensus as a community.

Please comment to this post and we'll start a conversation.

We've been looking to either start or be a part of a community like this for a long time! We currently reside in Nashville but are contemplating a move back to Chicago this fall so please keep us up to date on your progress. We'd like to get in during the planning stages if it's a good fit and help get it going as well.

I'm not sure we can make the meeting next weekend but please do give us any additional info as it comes. This is a very exciting and cool thing.

Right now, the number that gets mentioned a lot is $150 a square foot, but that it really an estimate. It depend on how much common space each owner has to pay for. We'll know more after the meeting on Sunday so stay tuned.

Get yourself up here girl and get involved!! Of course you can get in on the planning. For now just stay with the blog site and get your opinionate self involved. This is a GOd thing you know.

LOL...Jeff.

We're Chicagoans gone South, babe...there is a good chance that Josiah could bring us back up north though. We're connected through Up/Rooted actually. My DH, Dave Carlson knows a number of people there.

I was just having a tirade on my blog 'bout this very thing before we heard about you all (read: ya'll...ack...)

Y'all - after a little time on the West Side, "Y'all" comes pretty nachrl...

And yeah, that's how this blogging stuff works. People turn up.

We are fans of the co-housing projects (Troy Gardens, Arboretum Co-Housing) here in Madison where we relocated from Chicago. We'll keep the Josiah Community in prayer!

After the meeting on Mar. 30, I think we can define condo sizes and pricing a little closer. Now if I put stuff out there for "consideration" I don't want you anal/retentives to badger me for the next two years with "yes but in your blog on 4/1 you said the price was!!!! and you have to honor it!!!.Get my drift? Why developers are cagey, non-commital, or over state their pricing is because of a few anals fixated on a passing comment or general statement. I'm just learning this blogging thing and I want to be as transparent as I can but as a developer the warning voice in my head is going "you fool, you fool, you are going to pay big time for that one!!!!"
